If you have ever travelled to Greece, you have probably also danced here. It’s just a thing the Greeks love to do and they are always eager to entice strangers into lively participation in the ‘handkerchief‘ dance.
No surprise, then, that when it comes to organising celebrations for the International Day of Dance they pull out all the stops and provide a day long festival showcasing all types of dance.
Performances from students of the National Ballet School were mixed in with hip hop classes and tap recitals. A tango class had almost everyone up on stage tangoing with a verve rarely seen outside Argentina and a street dance battle created great excitement among the crowds.
